Co-hosted by the Kansas Department of Transportation Division of Aviation, UAS Cluster Initiative, and Kansas State University Polytechnic Campus, plan to attend to discuss advancing UAS operations for first responders and public safety in Kansas and beyond.
Specific topics that will be covered include:
- Overview of the State of Kansas unmanned aircraft systems initiatives
- Part 107 operations versus public operations, the benefits and challenges of each
- Updates on the state of UAS industry and the impact on first responders
- Suggestions from agencies currently operating UAS on identifying and securing funding to start and grow UAS operations within a public safety agency
